"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

Arthur’s Pass

Last weekend Keith and I took a short trip to Arthur’s Pass again.  It’s only a couple of hours from Christchurch and has numerous walks and trails to explore.  We stayed at a basic (but free!) campsite called Hawdon’s Shelter.  It was nice and quiet with only a few other campers.  Despite the crazy sandflies, we had a great time!

Our new friend.

Tomtits like coffee, too.

Going on a hike.

The fog is starting to lift!

We had to take our shoes off to cross the freezing river.
I may have had piggy-backrides the rest of the times we
had to cross...

Hiking along the river.
